Structured Outpatient Therapy Services
At Renewed Perspectives, we provide structured outpatient behavioral health services designed to support adolescents, young adults, adults, and specialized populations experiencing emotional, behavioral, relational, and life-transition challenges. Our services are trauma-informed, culturally responsive, strengths-based, and focused on helping individuals build long-term emotional stability, healthier coping strategies, and improved daily functioning.
Our treatment approach combines clinical support, emotional skill development, and individualized care planning to help participants navigate challenges related to trauma, anxiety, depression, behavioral difficulties, family conflict, stress, burnout, and major life transitions.
Our Clinical Approach
Our programs are designed to support individuals through different stages of emotional growth and recovery using a structured treatment approach focused on stabilization, skill development, and long-term maintenance.
Treatment approaches may include:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-informed skills
- Trauma-informed care
- Motivational Interviewing (MI)
- Strengths-based interventions
- Family systems approaches
- Emotional regulation and coping skill development
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is one-on-one counseling focused on your specific story, goals, and pace. It’s a private space to talk openly, build skills, and work through what’s getting in the way of your stability.
In individual sessions, we may focus on:
- Understanding how trauma, stress, or past experiences are affecting you now
- Learning practical coping skills to manage emotions, triggers, and daily stress
- Supporting justice-involved clients with accountability, reentry stress, and court/probation expectations
- Strengthening relationships, boundaries, and communication
- Addressing women’s mental health needs, including postpartum adjustment, parenting stress, and recovery from domestic violence
- Working with depression, anxiety, grief, or life transitions
Individual therapy can be short-term or longer-term, depending on your needs and goals. Together, we create a plan that fits your life and supports steady progress.
Group Therapy
Group therapy brings people together who are working on similar challenges. It offers support, structure, and a sense of not being alone. Groups are led by a therapist and follow a clear focus so time is used well.
In group therapy, participants can:
- Learn and practice coping skills in a supportive setting
- Hear from others who “get it” and reduce shame and isolation
- Build accountability and motivation for change
- Explore patterns in relationships, communication, and boundaries
- Join groups focused on justice-involved support, reentry, and behavior change
- Join women-centered groups such as postpartum support, young mothers, trauma recovery, or domestic violence recovery
Groups may be general skills-based or focused on specific needs (such as justice-involved support, trauma stabilization, or women’s groups). Your therapist or referral source can help match you to the right group.
Case Management
Case management at Renewed Perspectives Counseling is designed to support your emotional regulation and behavioral stabilization by coordinating the different parts of your care. We help you connect with community resources that support trauma recovery and overall life stability beyond the therapy room.
Our case managers work with you to navigate insurance benefits, access essential services, and coordinate care between healthcare providers or community agencies. This ensures you have the practical support needed to focus on your healing and long-term recovery.
Which Option Is Right for Me?
Many people benefit from both individual and group therapy at different times. For example, you might:
- Start with individual therapy to build trust and safety
- Add a group to practice skills and get peer support
- Transition to group only as you maintain progress and stability
If you’re not sure where to start, we can talk through your situation and recommend a plan.
Services may not be appropriate for individuals requiring:
- Inpatient psychiatric hospitalization
- Detoxification services
- Residential treatment
- Acute psychiatric stabilization
- Emergency crisis intervention requiring a higher level of care
